Wider Horizons
At St Edward's pupils are embracing new opportunities through our Wider Horizons programme, developing skills, confidence through unique hands-on experiences.
Most recently, pupils have been learning to ride motocross bikes, helping to build their confidence for safe riding techniques. These weekly sessions have encouraged pupils to challenge themselves, step outside their comfort zones and develop real world life skills.
Alongside this, pupils have also been exploring the world of FPV (First Person View) drones, learning how to safely pilot drones while gaining an understanding of the technology behind them. Wearing specialist goggles, pupils are experiencing seeing from the drone's perspective as they practise navigating courses and improving their flying skills.
The Wider Horizons program continues to provide experiences that enrich learning and help our young people broaden their aspirations beyond the classroom.
