BEING A PUPIL

AT

ST EDWARD'S

SCHOOL LIFE

The structure of our school week enables boys to enjoy a healthy balance between learning and living, with valuable direction on how best to use recreation time. We ensure a full 24 hours of allocated learning time is provided every week.

PASTORAL CARE

Don’t give answers, give choices, and then the best answers will come from making the best choices. Standing on the opposite side of the court is oppositional, jump over the net and play alongside those who need help. Face what they face, look from their perspective and recognise the unrecognisable. To do this you need their help as much as they need yours, their difficulty is your challenge. People don’t care what you know, if they don’t know that you care. That is why the starting line is long before we even meet in school.

Nothing is easy, but everything can be easier, and it helps if you accept help. Never worry about making a mistake; losing is about learning how to win, and winning is about learning how to learn. Our horizons are limited only, by our imaginations.

ENRICHMENT

Community Enrichment Days provide opportunities for our pupils to walk alongside and learn from others. These activities enable our pupils to explore the world around them.
