St Edward's School

Showing solidarity with those affected by war in the Ukraine

The war in Ukraine has created a refugee crisis that affects the lives of millions. At our Thought for the Day today the whole school, pupils and staff, voted collectively to help. We will endeavour to send urgently needed supplies directly to those in need through two Aid agencies in our area. If you feel moved to help we desperately need any of the following:

Basic medicines such as paracetamol, anadin, bandages, plasters and simple toiletries.

Clean warm clothes and sleeping bags.

Baby food (jars or sachets with long use by dates.)

Non-perishable foods such as jars, tins, rice and pasta Nappies and wet wipes.

At St Edward’s we believe that it is our responsibility to reach out to those in need. We cannot stand by while people suffer as a result of injustice, persecution or aggression. We need your help! Please help us make a difference in the lives of brothers and sisters in crisis.

With my warmest regards,

Yours faithfully, Stephen Whelan (Mission, Ethos and Charity Lead)
