This week class 10C had the privilege and pleasure of meeting author and screen writer Andrew Norriss. He won The Whitbread (Costa) Children's Book Award (1997) for his children's book Aquila which was later turned into a series for the BBC. He has since written many children's books and scripts for TV shows.
The encounter came after our pupils read and thoroughly enjoyed a book called 'Jessica's Ghost' written by Andrew. Our pupils invited Mr Norriss to our school to be interviewed so that they could learn and understand about writing professionally so that they can bring their own ideas to life!
